La Esquinitaita or Little Little Corner, located in the Barelas Neighborhood behind the new Zocalo Lofts will be the home of Albuquerque’s first food truck court. Supporting the larger Barelas Community and the community market, La Esquinita, or 'Little Corner', the food truck court is desired to be a place that activates the neighborhood and can facilitate various types of uses, such as community events, growers markets, and performances. A shade pergola will be designed to function as a refuge from the sun equipped with “Happy-to-Chat” bench swings to facilitate relaxing in the space and fostering conversation. Tables and chairs will allow for users to sit and enjoy a meal with family, friends, and new acquaintances.
